====News Flash* ====

~WalMart is selling pouched cooked ground beef, supposedly similar to the tuna, salmon, chicken and ham that's been available for a while. I have a pouch; look for a product review soon. The only immediate drawback is that the only size available at my local ~WalMart is a 10 oz bag, supposedly equivalent to 1 lb of raw ground beef. That's a lot of meat for one or two people.

====About the Recipes* ====

I've put all the pedantic stuff about my recipes here: AboutRecipes

====About this page* ====

Well, I travel in a tiny RV and hike. So this collection of recipes is for both car camping, where you have a fridge, room, etc. and for hiking, where everything must be carried in (and carried out, in the case of food that you cooked and can't eat.) Hence the emphasis on simplicity and ease of cleanup.

This page is also a collection of poorly edited snippets of stuff that people have contributed. Just because it's in the first person, don't assume that I wrote it, or even tried the recipe. If you cook it, and end up choking on it, don't call me. You have been warned....
